Music is very important to me. Whether I’m writing, lying in the sun, watering the garden or vacuuming, I always wear headphones and listen to music. That’s why I’d like to present you my favourite songs of 2021 and explain why the they are special to me. The same post is available from 2020, just follow the link to 2020.
SLUT – For the Soul there is no Hospital
A band from Ingolstadt that I had forgotten about, but recently rediscovered.
Wu-Tang Clan – C.R.E.A.M.
From the video game Watchdogs. By the way, there is a mash-up version together with Fugazi – Sleep Rules Everything Around Me.
Bette Midler – The Rose
A classic love song, I like it very much.
John Coffey – Broke Neck
I have seen the band perform live a couple of times. They became famous by catching a beer, although the music was good before that.
The Regrettes – Don’t Stop Me Now
A Queen – cover – I like both versions
Nahkok and Medicine for the People – The Wolves Have Returned
I discoveres the band only recently – they make music with influences from all over the world. Check them out!
Earth and Fire – Weekend
Classic that I often hear on the radio. One of the few songs I like on the German stations.
Trevor Hall – Put Down What You Are Carrying
The song contains a deep message, I think.
MGMT – Time to Pretend
Crazy video for a (to me) classic that pretty much everyone knows.
Lenze und de Buam – Alle meine Lieder
A Bavarian love song that I personally see as very powerful.
