Music is very important to me. Whether I’m writing, lying in the sun, watering the garden or vacuuming, I always wear headphones and listen to music. That’s why I’d like to present you my favourite songs of 2021 and explain why the they are special to me. The same post is available from 2020, just follow the link to 2020.
Tropidelics (ft. Dirty Heads) – Snowman
I’ve only known the Tropidelics for a short time, but all the songs I’ve heard so far sound good. Especially this one and the one below:
Tropidelic (ft. Matisyahu, Bumpin Uglies & The Elovaters) – New World
Music for sunbathing and chilling – a catchy tune, I think.
Charlotte OC – Freedom
This song is currently on rotation, very beautiful voice!
The Hip Abduction – Pacific Coast Highway
I think the song is brilliant, however, the song should just be called “Pacific Coast”, I would like it better.
The Shins – New Slang
I’ve been searching for this song for a long time, with no idea of title or artist – recently it was suggested on Spotify.
ABU – Beautiful Waste
In my eyes, this is summer music, very pleasant.
Honig – Golden Circle
You might think the band is from Ireland, but they are German. This song in particular is good for singing along, I think.
Pink Turns Blue – So why not save the world
A German band that has been active since 85, but I only discovered them recently.
Stick Figure – Paradise
A new song by one of my favourite musicians.
Johnny Cash – Solitary Man
Richard Ashcroft – Keys to the world
I have liked this artist for a long time. One of my favourite songs is this one:
Conny, Toksi – Erstes Mal, letztes Mal
Not really my kind of music, although I think this song is really good – “First time last time” in English.
Joya Marleen – Softly Speaking
The song is brand new, I like the beat and the voice.
Wings – Band on the run
I stumbled across the song by chance
Fleetwood Mac – The Chain
The album is one of the most successful records worldwide, so you should give it a try.
Planlos – Verdammt ich lieb Dich
My German punk favourite that has come back after a long break. The Matthias Reim cover is a few years old, though.
