Snapshots – 9/2021

In this post you will find the highlights of my mobile phone pictures from September 2021. In my blog you will also find posts from April, May, June July and August 2021. By the way: If you want to be informed about the publication of my blog posts, I recommend an RSS feed or to follow me on my author page on Facebook. But now have fun with my snapshots: A ladybug on a flower, while I was out for a walk. A rogue who sees something dirty here. This is the Harburg in Harburg, very close to where I live. A guided tour of the castle is highly recommended. A […]

Snapshots – 7/2021

Here’s the fourth post from my “Snapshots” category. I’ll show you some pictures I took with my mobile phone within a month and link them to a short explanation. Feel free to browse through the posts from May, April and June 2021, follow me on my author page on Facebook or browse through the samples of my books. You can find them on the front page. Recommendation – Metro 2034

Hello! After reading the first book of Dmitri Gluchowski’s “Metro”-series” I set my sights on the second part, “Metro 2034”. Here, too, I played the PlayStation game in advance, although it has little to do with the written story. While in the video game you slip back into the skin of the protagonist from the first part Artjom, Metro 2034 tells of Homer, Hunter and the girl Sascha. The story !Attention: spoilers for Metro 2033! As in the previous novel, Metro 2034 tells of a Moscow whose above-ground section has become uninhabitable after a nuclear war. All survivors eke out an existence in the partially destroyed metro, whose stations are populated […]

Recommendation – Dmitri Gluchowski: Metro 2033

Hallo! In this category I am going to give you recommendations on things that I think are outstanding. I’ll start with a book that I’ve been putting off for years. But first, a short story about myself: As I wanted to find my own writing style, I hardly read for a long time. You’ll find the story in detail here. Meanwhile, I am satisfied with my style and have consolidated it enough to start reading again. The first book in years is by the Russian author Dmitri Gluchowski and is called Metro 2033, a bestseller whose story I already knew from the same-titled PlayStation game. However, as you might expect, the […]

Interview – Childrensbooklist

Hello! In 2019, I gave an interview for “Childrensbooklist”. In the meantime, the homepage can no longer be found, so I am posting the interview here. I have also added a few comments, as I would now answer some questions differently.     As a writer, How can you identify when is the right time to write? I work on multiple projects at once – this way, it is always the right time to work on one of them. I got some about happiness (Being happy with Nevis, Orla Octopus), some are about coping with sorrow (The pencils in your drawer). Others tell about nature (Sarya) or about life and racism […]

Written: A Letter to a brewery

You get the best ideas while drunk… Whether the following letter was a good idea, we´ll see. In any case: We sat together like every Thursday, played at cards and talked. One thing led to the other and baaam – I “was chosen” to write a letter to a local brewery – to get some free stuff for our man-cave, where our crackerbarrel is held every week. Here´s the letter I wrote – have fun reading!   Dear brewery-team, I’m writing to you today because of a rather unusual occasion and I really don’t know how to start. I write as the “idiot in charge”, mindfully selected by a circle of […]
