Snapshots – 7/2021

Here’s the fourth post from my “Snapshots” category. I’ll show you some pictures I took with my mobile phone within a month and link them to a short explanation. Feel free to browse through the posts from May, April and June 2021, follow me on my author page on Facebook or browse through the samples of my books. You can find them on the front page. Have fun with my pictures! The further down, the older they are. Which one do you find most interesting? I am happy about every comment!   Spotted while taking a walk: To the right of the jar, you’ll see a young bird that had probably […]

Reading: Trier spielt – The Pencils in my Drawer

Hello! Through my book “The Pencils in My Drawer“, which is dedicated to grief counselling, I often deal with grief counselors. Since they really like my story, I was invited by Lacrima to read in Trier at the beginning of September 2021. Every year, the event “Trier spielt” (Trier plays) takes place there. Throughout Trier’s city centre, stalls are set up offering all kinds of activities for children of different ages. This year, Lacrima had a stall where you could either make a bracelet or listen to me read. However, the topic of grief was less popular with most of the visitors. After all, they wanted to have fun and not […]

Recommendation – Metro 2034

Hello! After reading the first book of Dmitri Gluchowski’s “Metro”-series” I set my sights on the second part, “Metro 2034”. Here, too, I played the PlayStation game in advance, although it has little to do with the written story. While in the video game you slip back into the skin of the protagonist from the first part Artjom, Metro 2034 tells of Homer, Hunter and the girl Sascha. All survivors eke out an existence in the partially destroyed metro, whose stations are populated […]

But first, a short story about myself: As I wanted to find my own writing style, I hardly read for a long time. You’ll find the story in detail here. Meanwhile, I am satisfied with my style and have consolidated it enough to start reading again. The first book in years is by the Russian author Dmitri Gluchowski and is called Metro 2033, a bestseller whose story I already knew from the same-titled PlayStation game. However, as you might expect, the […]

UK: London

Why London? Starting at the end of January to the middle of March 2017 Theresa and I lived in beautiful London. Unfortunately, the relationship with our common employer went downhill and drove us back home. Eversince, we’ve been travelling. Despite the unpleasant end, the time in London was unforgettable and I like to give you a few impressions of the city. After all, it is also the setting for my first novel “Midnight Sun“. I have based the story on real locations in Englands capital. You can visit each place  in the book and countless story fragments are taken from the real London life, as, for example, seagulls sat in front […]
