Interview – Childrensbooklist

Hello! In 2019, I gave an interview for “Childrensbooklist”. In the meantime, the homepage can no longer be found, so I am posting the interview here. I have also added a few comments, as I would now answer some questions differently.     As a writer, How can you identify when is the right time to write? I work on multiple projects at once – this way, it is always the right time to work on one of them. I got some about happiness (Being happy with Nevis, Orla Octopus), some are about coping with sorrow (The pencils in your drawer). Others tell about nature (Sarya) or about life and racism […]

Interview – Emotionbooksworld

Hello! I gave an interview to the Facebook page Emotionbooksworld, which I would like to publish on my blog, too. Have fun with the short interview. Also have a look at my other blog posts, convince yourself of my books or read my poems. Have fun!    When the story takes shape in your head, what comes first? Figures that you would like to breathe life into and then tailor a story to fit them? Or is it more about telling a story and you create the characters to fit the story? That always varies. In “Being Happy with Nevis” the main character was first inspired by “the very hungry caterpillar. […]

How I started writing

I wrote the following lines for an interview for “Die Zeilenflüsterin” on Facebook. The task was to write a personal story that might interest my readers. I decided to share how I started writing. How I started writing I was born in Romania in 1986 and moved to Germany when I was four years old, after the Wall fell. I grew up like the other children, but with small differences in tradition, food and a different relationship with friends and family. In my eyes, my family had a closer connection than those of the other children. To me, the clannishness seemed stronger. We helped and supported the others unasked. In my […]

When someone leaves

Hello! I wrote the following lines for a competition. The topic was “coping with grief”. The article should be short and snappy. Somehow, I had forgotten about the competition and never heard of it again. Today, I discovered the text by chance and like to publish it – maybe it helps someone, that’s what I wrote it for.   When someone leaves. Ten years. It took ten years, until I understood what its about, when someone leaves. For ten years, I wished that you were here, that we met by chance, as we used to. Ten years, and I did not know why I was feeling bad, as the grief had […]

Written: letter of indulgence

Hello! I was disguised as a monk at a historic festival and figured to do this historically accurate. So, I wrote a letter of indulgence that I wanted to sell to raise money for a charity organization. However, it has turned out that, as soon as you ask for donations, people get even more ignorant. Overall, I made 18 euros, which I’ll throw somewhere into a donation fund. Anyone who likes to read the letter will find it a bit further down. Tes and me in the middle age style:     The letter       One day, I will repeat this event, but in a different location.    C-L

Short Story: I love big cities

I love big cities! I wrote a short story about the “Life in big cities” for a competition. Since I didn’t win, I would like to share it on my blog. It´s the story of a man living in a skyscraper in a big city. He gets a new neighbour that keeps him constantly awake with weird knocking noises on the bedroom wall. Have fun reading:   I was woken by periodic blows against my bedroom wall. I lifted my head and checked the room. It took me a while to figure out what was going on: I had a new neighbor – at least that’s what the janitor told me […]

Written: A Letter to a brewery

You get the best ideas while drunk… Whether the following letter was a good idea, we´ll see. In any case: We sat together like every Thursday, played at cards and talked. One thing led to the other and baaam – I “was chosen” to write a letter to a local brewery – to get some free stuff for our man-cave, where our crackerbarrel is held every week. Here´s the letter I wrote – have fun reading!   Dear brewery-team, I’m writing to you today because of a rather unusual occasion and I really don’t know how to start. I write as the “idiot in charge”, mindfully selected by a circle of […]

Written: Marketing my way

Hello, With this post I would like to introduce you to my kind of marketing. I made up a total of eight different stickers with quotes, produced them in big quantities and with the intention to spread them all over the country. Accordingly, I went on a trip to the biggest cities in Germany. Here are the different  stickers. I really hope I can make some people smile. If you go like: “Oh, nice! Such stickers are definitely needed my city!”, then just e-mail me your address. I will gladly ship you a sticker-package, so you can place them wherever you like. Hey Dude, did you write that? – My girlfriend, […]

Written: E-Mail to a nursing home

Hello! In this article I would like to show you an open letter to the head of a care home. I wrote the following lines for someone from my closest circle of friends and family. They are about his father-in-law, who was suffering from dementia. The idea for this email came up in a conversation with a caregiver, but unfortunately it was never sent out. After the death of the aforementioned father-in-law, they simply wanted to be done with the situation and that´s perfectly understandable. However, as I like this text to be read and perhaps used by someone else, I hereby make it public. If you wish, you can copy, […]
